Last week we had to say goodbye to our greek colleague Konstantina. She spend 6 months in and around the hospital and shanty town to educate local people about female genitile mutilation - a 3000 year old tradition - and its effect on the health of the woman, pregnancy etc. An admiring task as it must not have been easy to work in an environment like this. However do understand that some inroads have been made on educating the local bejaa tribe on the overall consequences but in the end of the day who are we? Anyway Konstantina is now enjoying a well deserved rest in her native country and who knows we will meet again some day some time someplace
