In october i went to a socalled pre posting debriefing to be informed about what msf what was all about. information on missions; legal issues; cross cultural management and of course interpersonal skills. This was interesting as we had people from all over the world there: germany, swiss, italy, norway; denmark, sweden, finland, france, sierre leone and cameroon. an interesting bunch of people from nurses to doctors to admin to logistics and from young to old. it was an enyoable exercise especially as we were lucky enough to be in a conference center of the danish metal union - many thanks to them for sponsoring this - equipped with a 5star kitchen and staff. Apparently staying there is called a 5 kilo week and not because of loosing it. also our final evening dancing on african music was a highlight for me. and than the waiting on the first mission starts. BTW the pictures in Copenhagen were taken on the morning when we left. Had a 2hour stroll together with Eva from Azebidjian and Barbara from Italy. It was a beautiful cold but sunny morning.
